Frequently asked questions
When should I contact you during labor?
As soon as you think labor has started! I ask clients to keep me updated with contraction patterns and text again when heading to the birth location (if not birthing at home). The goal is for me to arrive and begin taking photos during active labor.
What if I go into labor at night or on a weekend?
I’m on call for you 24/7 starting at 37 weeks! Birth is unpredictable, and I plan my life around being available for you, no matter the day or hour.
What if you miss the birth?
If, for any reason, I am unable to make it in time, I will still come to document those beautiful postpartum moments. If I am completely unavailable, a qualified backup photographer will be provided at no additional cost.
What if I want a more modest coverage, and will you share my photos online?
Before your birth, we’ll discuss your preferences—whether you want a modest approach, specific moments captured or avoided, or a fully raw documentary style. I will only share if you’ve given permission. Clients can choose a full release, faceless release, or no release. You’ll have the option to favorite any images you prefer to keep private, and I’ll honor that fully.
